The 2019 Chiltern Art Prize will be the 17th annual art show held in Chiltern.
The event will officially launch with the Award Night from 6:00pm on June 7, which promises a rollicking good time with locally crafted beer, wine, canapés and music. Awards announced at 7:00pm, which will be hosted by the delightful Alyce Fisher of Murray Arts fame.
While it’s dark, be sure to check out a specially commissioned artwork on the corner of Conness and Main Streets – a projected moving image themed on the Chiltern Mt-Pilot National Park.
Alongside hundreds of artworks, we have lots to see and do, such as residence artist Taro Iiyama, will be set up in a pop-up studio. As well as a creative workshop run by Lisa Bishop on Saturday June 8, bookings essential – via the Facebook page.
And this year’s event will be accompanied by very a special retrospective of the Prize’s 2018 winner Tony Thornhill Cole.
The 2019 Chiltern Art Prize really has something for everyone.
